To ADD your local mail archive file into the new Outlook account:

In Outlook, click on File in the upper left.

Click on Open & Export, then click Open Outlook Data File.

Note. Your mail archive is usually stored in a folder called Outlook Files in your Documents folder. The folder may also be called “Outlook archive”, or simply “archive”.¬†

Select the file called “archive.pst” (or similar, usually the largest file in the folder), and click OK.


Procedure Complete!

Congratulations. Your archive should now be visible in the Outlook navigation pane.
